Employment Opportunities

Although we are not always hiring for all the positions listed, we are always glad to talk to people who share our mission of mountain education and recreation.

Instructor and Guide
We accept full-time seasonal and full-time year-round guide applications between November 1st and February 28th pf each year. All new full-time seasonal and full-time year-round guides participate in a 3-week guide training period, which usually takes place in early May. Click here for more information. We accept part-time guide applications for the Desert Southwest, Denali, from AIARE Instructors, and from IFMGA guides for European work throughout the year.

Guide Service Administrative Internship (Not currently accepting applications)
This 6-month, paid internship is designed to provide an introduction to the daily work of running a guiding business. This position requires between 20 and 30 hours per week. Equipment Specialist
We hire three to four part-time Equipment Specialists each spring, usually in April. To download an application, click on the link above. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year.

Alaska Range Support Internship Application (2012 Position Filled)
Every year we provide one internship in Alaska that provides support for Denali expeditions. This position requires a commitment from the middle of April through the middle of July. We take applications for this position from the beginning of November to the end of January. We are not currently accepting applications for this position. Click here for more information.
